He brings together a broad range of leadership qualities, an acute focus on customers, together with a pioneering vision for digital health strategies. Most recently Paul was CEO and founder of Apertio, an award-winning customer experience and intelligence business which was later acquired by Nokia Siemens. Real-time information solutions sold by this business now power a quarter of the world's mobile telecommunications operators.

Chief Informatics and Innovation Officer
Blackford’s love for improvisational jazz piano has helped him to be a serial innovator – making music, and novel products, out of ideas. He first envisioned electronic health records while a medical student in 1984, and has been engaged in clinical informatics research and development ever since focusing on clinical decision support, knowledge engineering, and knowledge sharing technologies at Stanford, MedicaLogic, Partners Healthcare and Harvard, and Vanderbilt. At Apervita, he provides leadership and guidance for informatics components in all Apervita technologies, and supports customers on clinical informatics issues.
Chief Technology Officer
Michael went to the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign to earn a degree in Computer Engineering, crafting microprocessors and designing instruction pipelines. However, turns out there was a technology revolution brewing which shifted his focus from hardware to software, micro-technology to globally distributed computing, instruction pipelines to computation pipelines: something called the “World Wide Web”. Since those early days, Michael has worked with industry leaders such as American Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Sam’s Club, McDonalds, and Bank of America, leading teams to design and build strategic solutions to enable business success.

Brad loves a complex puzzle as evidenced by his crossword, science and philosophy hobbies, and brings the same energy and attitude to improving health. As a former physician, he's spent his career as a business leader focused on innovation at the intersection of clinical medicine, analytics, and technology. With broad perspective across health enterprises and experience building and leading digital health businesses in his roles with IMS Health and McKinsey & Company, Brad pieces together the puzzle of our commercial, product, and business development plans to solve our clients biggest challenges.
Chief Financial Officer
Dave, a keen fisherman, reels in our finances. A seasoned executive with experience creating business value through mergers and acquisitions, as well as energizing business performance and growing start-up businesses with strategic clarity. Prior to getting hooked on Apervita he advised leading hi-techs on financial strategy. Dave was also recently CFO for bswift, the marketplace for health insurance exchanges, later acquired by Aetna.

With his love for ocean swimming and sailing, when Rick is not in the deep blue, he's making a splash with our Marketing and Sales. An experienced global marketing and business leader, his focus is on building highly successful customer relationships. He has held executive positions across several vertical industries, including Global Vice President of Marketing at Hewlett Packard, and senior European roles at Vodafone and Openwave. He has built and led global business-to-business sales and marketing teams. Rick brings deep experience developing programs and partnerships to sell enterprise software solutions.
